Magic Rock Brewing is proud to announce its second official beer in partnership with Huddersfield Town A.F.C. as well as renewing its commercial partnership with the club for the 2017/18 season.
Promised Land is a 4.5% German Pilsner to commemorate the club’s historic promotion to the Premier League in 2017. Brewed to conform to German purity standards using Golden promise malt and all German hops, the beer is fermented with Lager yeast and then cold conditioned for 6 weeks for an easy-drinking clean and crisp flavour. Promised Land will be available on match days at Magic Rock Tap and have a permanent presence on the bar at Canalside.
Managing Director of Magic Rock Brewing, Richard Burhouse commented:
“Like everyone who supports the club, I’m still buzzing with the excitement of promotion last season and when the club asked us if we’d like to make a commemorative beer I jumped at the chance. As we already produce a cask-conditioned bitter for the club in ‘Hat Trick’, we thought a lager would be a good idea for those who prefer a cold fizzy beer and with the German connections at the club, a classic German Pilsner was the obvious choice. The beer takes a lot of time and patience to get right, it has a defined hop character from the use of German Hallertau and Saphir hops and a smooth drinkability from its extended conditioning. We hope Town continue their amazing success and Promised Land hits the spot with the fans, when the sun comes out it’s what we’re all drinking at the brewery”
Huddersfield Town’s Commercial Director, Sean Jarvis commented:
“Following on from last year’s Commercial Partnership I’m thrilled that Magic Rock Brewing has renewed for a second year, as such I am also delighted that we have been able to produce another beer in recognition of our promotion to the Premier League. Promised Land will be sold at PPG Canalside making it’s debut at the Perrys Fanzone on Sunday 20 August. Massive thanks to Richard and his production team to turn this around in such a short space of time”.
