The end of November will be a very busy time for us as we launch two amazing events spanning half the length of the country.
The first is a ‘Meet the Brewer’ on Monday the 28th, November at one of the best new bars in the north, the excellent Port Street Beer House in, Manchester. Since opening this year Port Street has become a firm favourite with us, they stock a mouth watering number of great beers from both the best domestic and overseas breweries, and the bar is a beautiful place to spend some time.
We’ll be taking over a whole load of Magic beers in both cask and keg and all three of us will be there all evening to introduce the beers, answer any questions and tell you a bit more about our brewery. This event will also be the first place anywhere to get a taste of our biggest beer to date, ‘Bearded Lady’ our 10.5% big and beautiful Imperial Brown Stout which Jonny and Will from Port Street helped us brew back in October.
It promises to be a fun night in what for beer lovers is an unmissable location. At the time of writing we believe this ticketed event has sold out but if you’re really keen on coming its worth contacting the guys at Port Street 0161 237 9949 as they’re running a list in the event of any cancellations.
The second event is on Wednesday 30th November and is the launch of ‘Rock Star’ our 7.0% uber hoppy American Brown Ale which we brewed in collabortaion with Mark Tranter from Dark Star brewing last month. The event will take place simultaneously at both breweries ‘locals’, The Grove Inn, Huddersfield and The Evening Star, Brighton.
We had loads of fun making the beer with Mark, and were really pleased to be able to collaborate with one of our long standing favourite breweries. The recipe we devised with the full benefit of Mark’s experience used a complex malt bill, and on the day a massive amount of fresh hops which fortunately for the brew were a particularly fresh new season batch. Since then the beer has also been dry hopped twice to give it a characteristically magic aroma.. More on the brew day here
We’re all really excited about Rock Star, the 30th at The Grove and the Evening Star will the first place anywhere to taste the beer, which will be available on the night in both cask and keg format.
We hope some of you can make it down for one of the nights, there are no tickets required on the Wednesday for The Grove or Evening Star, you can just turn up on the night for a taste of the latest Magic. See you there!SHARE THIS
